I have a day care. I gave a parent notice 2 weeks ago that I would no longer be caring for her children. The mother came that day and in a real scene pulled the child.

gone now 2 weeks all quiet. last night at 10:30pm I get an email from her

"Sandy,
You need to remove my children's pictures from your website. This needs to be taken care of immediately. Thank you."

That is 3 years of picts. AND her children are not alone in many of them, so other parents would be effected. ___AND___ I have a signed and dated release from her to use them.

the release I have

I give Sandra Hall my permission for the above named child to: Apply sunscreen []Yes []No Diaper rash cream []Yes []No
Put candid photo’s of my child on the web page []Yes []No
Put my child’s art work on the web page []Yes []No PARENT SIGNATURE____________ Date_____________

so do I have a leg to stand on?

There is a lawyers tribe. I'd take your question over there.

But in my non-lawyerly opinion, I would let her know that you believe you have every right to use those photos as she has signed a release.

But as a compromise, I would volunteer to remove any photos where her child is the only child shown.

    2 cents.

I actually did just that today. I went through 3 years of photo's and removed all solo's of her kids.

I will go to lawyer tribe thanks for letting me know

If you are handy with photo editing software (some is pretty simple) you could also blur/cover the child's face in any group photos. Even doing that you should still get legal advice.
